North Island Team to Participate in Bantam AAA Pilot Project
BC Hockey announced on Thursday, April 18, 2019 that the Minor Hockey Associations (MHA) in the North Island Zone have endorsed the participation of a Bantam AAA team in the BC Hockey Zone Pilot Project for the upcoming 2019 – 2020 season.
An evaluation camp will be held from May 3 – 5, 2019 at the Nanaimo Ice Centre in Nanaimo, BC. Interested participants should register by April 30, 2019.
The North Island joins the Okanagan and Lower Mainland zones that have previously committed to participate in the pilot project next season, and plans are developing for the inclusion of a team from the North Zone as well.
Currently, the Bantam AAA League will include teams from the Lower Mainland (Vancouver North West, Vancouver North East, Greater Vancouver, Fraser Valley and Valley West), and the Okanagan (Kelowna/Kamloops), with possible addition of a team from the North Zone (Prince George).

Coaches/Managers please return your team set of jerseys (washed) and in the tote/jersey bag provided at the start of the season. As well as first aid kits, coach boards, pinnies and pucks.
If you are unable to return items on this day please arrange for someone else to drop.

The CRMHA AGM will take place on April 10, 2019 at 7:00pm in the Robron Centre Conference Room.
The following Board of Director positions are up for election:
President (2 year term)
2nd Vice President (2 year term)
Secretary (2 year term)
Directors’ At-Large (7-11) (1 year term)
Description of roles and responsibilities are listed below.

President – responsible to preside at all meetings of the association, attend all meetings with VIAHA, oversee the operations of the association, and ensure that all Executive personnel are made aware of their duties and are properly carrying them out.
2nd Vice President – responsible for fundraising/sponsorship for the association, and maintaining the website.
Secretary – responsible to record the minutes of all meetings, respond to correspondence, and maintain files of all documents pertaining the Association.
Ratified directors are elected by the Executive Committee to implement the programs and fulfill the responsibilities of one of the following positions. Directors may also be required to sit on committees or represent the CRMHA on various District and Provincial level committees within BC HOCKEY. Detailed descriptions are found in section 2 of the P&P:
Risk Manager – responsible to the Executive Committee for implementing the BC HOCKEY Risk Management Program within the CRMHA.
Ice Coordinator – responsible to the Executive Committee for the procurement and allocation of all ice times within the CRMHA.
Equipment Manager – responsible to the Executive Committee for all the equipment owned by the CRMHA.
Tournament Coordinator – responsible to the Executive Committee for ensuring that all CRMHA tournaments operate efficiently and in accordance with CRMHA policy and procedures.
Gaming Coordinator – responsible to the Executive Committee for ensuring that all CRMHA gaming operates efficiently and in accordance with CRMHA policy and procedures and affiliations with BC Gaming conditions and standards.
Referee-in-Chief – responsible to the Executive Committee for coordinating and developing all officials within the CRMHA.
Head Coach – responsible to the Executive Committee for coordinating and developing all coaches within the CRMHA.
Player Development Coordinator – responsible to the Executive Committee for monitoring and promoting the skill development of all players within the CRMHA.
Representative Coordinator – responsible to the Executive Committee for ensuring that all CRMHA Rep Teams operate efficiently and in accordance with CRMHA policy and procedures.
Female Development Coordinator – responsible to the Executive Committee for ensuring that all CRMHA female teams operate efficiently and in accordance with CRMHA policy and procedures.
Association Manager – responsible to the Executive Committee for ensuring that divisions operate efficiently and in accordance with CRMHA policy and procedures.
CRMHA is now accepting nominations for the 2018-2019 CRMHA Hockey Awards. Award winners will be announced at the CRMHA AGM on April 10th (details on AGM to follow)
